In our last E-Xclusive, we provided an overview of the Soft Skills Training at Dover Area High School on October 9, 2024. Over 30 participants attended the event to learn how they could sharpen their skills, ranging from public speaking skills & tactics, giving feedback with compassion, and giving an impromptu “elevator pitch”. Dover Township would like to thank Dover Area School District for offering their facilities and helping to provide this valuable opportunity to our residents/community. Discussions are underway for future workshops that might include other topics such as conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, listening skills, teamwork, etc. We are also having discussions with other potential partners on how we can work together on future opportunities. Please stay tuned for upcoming opportunities in Spring 2025 as the Dover Township Industrial/Commercial Development Committee (ICDC) fine-tunes the workforce skills we plan to offer to our community.
